Brief

Having previously helped BAA with a brand “revamp” at the start of the year, they wanted to integrate this refreshed identity with their website. Being something of an ambitious and modern agency, their old site was lacking in functionality and didn’t do the agency justice. As a result, it was decided that a completely new website was required. The team trusted us to create a website that fitted with their new direction and were instantly thrilled with our proposal.

Solution

Utilising their newly developed logo, we produced a complementary colour palette, which was light and easy on the eye. Gone were the clunky features, replaced by a number of delicately designed details helping to keep the overall feel of the site bright and engaging. We designed easily identifiable icons to act as clear indicators for each featured property throughout the site. We made a feature of their ‘property of the week’ by introducing a dynamically populated parallax homepage banner. The site was built mobile-first to cater for the large number of users visiting from mobile devices. As is our standard practice, the website is fully responsive.

Instead of a blog, BAA utilise social media to engage with their audience - particularly the number of students that use their service. To keep the site fresh and up to date, we fed their Facebook posts straight through to their blog page - perfect for a busy or small company. This also makes it very easy for students to find, save and share properties. A bookmark tool, search feature and a dynamic price slider were added, making for an agile and convenient user experience.

Result

The finished site has been highly praised and works efficiently and effectively. So much so that from here we went on to develop an app for BAA, modelled on the design of the website. The app was designed to cater for the regular needs of tenants renting through BAA. The features include a maintenance request form, a calendar showing rent due dates and payment details, contact details for assistance, a rent calculator tool and access to all relevant tenancy documents and contracts. We’ve continued to work with them, providing business cards and regular on-going marketing support and look forward to this relationship continuing long term.
